Terms and Conditions

KORG SoundTree Music Lab Placement Program
Terms & Conditions

Preliminary Terms & Conditions | 2026–2027

1. APPLICATION & SELECTION

Applications will be accepted October 22 through December 18, 2026.

Schools are invited to create and submit an approximately five-minute video describing their program, students, instructional goals, need/desire for the lab, anticipated use of the technology, and potential educational impact.

Selection will consider educational need and vision as well as the school/district’s administrative readiness and reasonable ability to complete potential future purchase.

Selection does not, in itself, obligate KORG to deliver equipment. Final placement is contingent upon completion and approval of the required participation documents following selection.

2. LAB PLACEMENT

Selected schools are expected to receive their SoundTree labs beginning in January 2027.

KORG/SoundTree will coordinate installation, implementation support, and appropriate professional development so participating educators can integrate the lab effectively into instruction.

Equipment remains subject to the ownership, use, care, insurance, and financial provisions contained in the final Placement Agreement.

3. PURCHASE COMMITMENT

The program is a placement/deferred-purchase program and not a donation or giveaway.

This timeline is intentionally designed to allow participating districts to evaluate and coordinate a potential purchase with their 2027–2028 fiscal-year funding where necessary. Alternative payment programs (e.g., lease, dedicated crowdfunding programs are available)

4. EARLY-PAYMENT INCENTIVE

Participating schools wishing to purchase the lab, by completing payment will receive a 5% discount from the established program purchase price on or before March 31, 2027,

The early-payment incentive is intended to reward districts desiring to complete a purchase within the current fiscal period while maintaining July 15, 2027 as the final payment deadline for all other participating schools.

5. CARE, SECURITY & INSURANCE

Participating schools/districts will be responsible for the reasonable care, security, and appropriate instructional use of all equipment while it is in their possession.

Prior to shipment, participating districts may be required to provide appropriate acknowledgment of insurance coverage and responsibility for loss, theft, or damage beyond ordinary wear and tear, as will be further defined in the final agreement.

6. SCHOOL & DISTRICT AUTHORIZATION

Because the SoundTree Music Lab Placement Program involves the placement of equipment, participation must represent a school- and district-level commitment, rather than an application submitted solely by an individual educator.

The program application and subsequent Placement Agreement must be reviewed and acknowledged by the following representatives:

Music Teacher / Program Educator
Confirms the instructional need for the lab, intended curricular use, commitment to implementation, participation in professional development, and responsibility for supporting successful use of the SoundTree system.

School Principal
Confirms building-level support for the program, appropriate space and infrastructure for installation, and administrative support for implementation.

District Business Manager or Chief Financial Officer
Acknowledges the established program price if to be purchased, including the March 31, 2027 early-payment option, the July 15, 2027 final payment requirement, and the district’s anticipated financial pathway for completing the purchase as desired.

District Superintendent
Provides district-level authorization for participation and acknowledges the instructional and administrative commitments associated with acceptance of a SoundTree lab placement.

The signatures of these representatives are intended to demonstrate that the proposed placement has been reviewed across the appropriate instructional, administrative, and financial levels of the district.

7. FINAL AGREEMENT

These Preliminary Terms & Conditions are intended to communicate the principal requirements of the SoundTree Music Lab Placement Program and are not the final Placement/Purchase Agreement.

Schools selected for participation will receive a comprehensive agreement specifying the equipment configuration and value, established purchase price, payment terms, ownership and title, insurance requirements, responsibility for equipment, installation and professional development expectations, and appropriate equipment return procedures applicable in the event the purchase cannot be completed.

Equipment will be shipped when the required final agreement has been reviewed, authorized, and executed by the participating school/district and KORG/SoundTree representatives.

SCHOOL & DISTRICT ACKNOWLEDGMENT
